In a press release dated 4 June 2024,, the Association of Insurance and Reinsurance
Companies (ACA), together with the ALEBA, the OGBL and the LCGB, announced that the
new collective labour agreement for insurance companies had been signed for the
period 2024 – 2026.
Some of the stipulations of the agreement are outlined below:
- Providing a framework for background checks, which can be carried out during the
recruitment process and/or during the contractual employment relationship,
particularly when such checks are found to be necessary;
- Reference to the law of 16 May 2023 transposing Directive (EU) 2019/1937 on the
protection of persons who report breaches of Union law;
- An exceptional appeal bonus paid for 2024, 2025 and 2026 amounting to a total of
€1,300;
- Two hours of training credit allocated to occupational health and the prevention of
psychosocial risks;
- Allocation of a certain number of hours to the health and safety representative for the
performance of his/her role.
This new agreement came into force as of 1 st January 2024.
