A new bill (hereinafter referred to as the “ Bill ”) was submitted to the Chamber of Deputies on 26 September 2022. The bill is designed to temporarily extend the deadline for concluding apprenticeship contracts.
As a reminder, the Labour Code stipulates that apprenticeship contracts must be concluded no later than 1 November the same year. The Bill intends to postpone the deadline for concluding apprenticeship contracts until 30 November 2022, allowing “more time for the apprentice to find a new employer, as well as for employers to find apprentices”.
This exemption had already been introduced in 2021 with the law of 15 October 2021 as well as in 2020 with the law of 20 June 2020.
