On 30 November 2023, the Labour and Mines Inspectorate (ITM) published the instructions for the upcoming employee representative elections to be held on Tuesday 12 March 2024.
As a reminder, every five years, all Luxembourg companies are under obligation to organise elections for employee representatives if they have at least 15 employees in their employ under the terms of an employment contract during the twelve months prior to the first day of the month in which the ballots are announced at the company.
These instructions relate to the organisational arrangements, the rules for determining the minimum threshold and employee numbers, and the conduct of the election operations with a view to putting together the staff delegations for the 2024 – 2029 time frame
